When one of you enters the masjid, let him pray two rak'ahs before he sits down," this is an authentic, "agreed upon" narration (reported in Sahih al-Bukhari 444 and Sahih Muslim 714). This is known as Tahiyyat al-Masjid (greeting the mosque), this two-unit prayer is a highly recommended Sunnah.
Perform two voluntary rak'ahs immediately upon entering the masjid. If you sit first, you can still stand to perform it. It is considered a confirmed Sunnah (Sunnah Mu'akkadah) by most scholars, though some, like in the Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sunan Abi Dawud reports, consider it highly recommended, particularly for showing reverence for the space. It can even be performed briefly if the Imam is delivering the Friday Khutbah. This prayer acts as a spiritual greeting and prepares the worshipper for their time in the mosque.
In sha Allah let's strive to implement this Sunnah.
