✨ Queens Choreographic LAB 2026 by sarAika✨

What an incredible week.

For one week, 16 dancers from across Queens and New York City came together to research, question, experiment, and create.

There wasn’t one “right” answer. Instead, we explored movement through improvisation, choreographic tools, collaboration, and curiosity—discovering how individual voices can become a collective work.

It was a complete honor yesterday to receive the award Premios Talía NY - one of the oldest and most emblematic awards celebrating Spanish-language theater in New York 🏆

Founded in 1970 by Cuban journalist Manolo García Oliva, Talía has documented and uplifted Latinx theater for over five decades. Revived in 2026 under the leadership of Raúl Rivera, the awards continue to honor excellence, cultural memory, and the vibrant voices of our community.
