A side of Boccara’s Paris gallery wall graced by modern and contemporary art and design.

This installation features Bernard Cathelin’s large-scale tapestry, Harmonie noire et verte (1990), alongside Monique Rozanès’ unique console, “Autel émeraude” (2018). The tapestry’s deep tones resonate beautifully with the emerald green embedded in the console’s structure.

We are excited to confirm that this “Autel émeraude” console will be presented at the upcoming Design Miami 2026!

Presented at Fine Art Paris 2026: Ville Impériale de Katsura en Automne by Bernard Cathelin, masterfully woven by the renowned tapestry workshop Atelier 3, Paris.

For the first time, Boccara Gallery is proud to present a rare paired set from Cathelin’s celebrated Katsura series, exhibited alongside Harmonie noire et verte. Born from the artist’s profound journey to Japan, these masterpieces reflect a perfect harmony of French sensitivity and Japanese spatial aesthetics, rendered with extraordinary textural depth.

We are honored to showcase this exceptional pairing at this year’s fair.

Boccara Gallery Exclusive: Bernard
Cathelin Tapestries exhibition

We are honored to present a rare and significant gathering of major works by Bernard Cathelin (1919-2004), translated into monumental wool tapestries by the master weavers of Atelier 3, Paris.
This curated selection explores the profound intersection of painting and textile art, showcasing Cathelin’s distinctive vision-rich in color, texture, and profound human sensibility-reimagined on an architectural scale.
This marks the first time these specific editions have been exhibited together in Paris. We invite collectors and connoisseurs to experience the tactility and power of these masterpieces.
