Geoffrey Cantor and The ACTORS’ WORKSHOP ™ offers a range of programs which address the needs and challenges of the Arts and artists, with the singular philosophy of process over result, allowing the artist to focus on that which is most important. Founder of the ACTORS' WORKSHOP, he has taught throughout the country including Virginia, New Orleans, New York City and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center (NYTI) in Connecticut. Geoffrey was also the Artistic Director and Artist in Residence for the JCC Association’s Maccabi Artsfest, an international youth arts festival. His unique text-based approach focuses on process over product, and provides his students with a strong foundation that can be applied to a range of styles and mediums. I’ve been teaching for over 25 years throughout the country including Virginia, New Orleans, New York City and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center (NYTI) in Connecticut. I spent three years as Artistic Director and Artist in Residence for the JCC Association’s Maccabi Artsfest, an international youth arts festival which brought high school-aged artists from all over the country together to learn from professionals, and which culminated in a combined showing of work and talent from the full range of disciplines. With a focus on process over result, I also provide real insight into the more practical nature of the business, giving my students a strong acting foundation that can be applied to all styles and mediums, as well as strategies for dealing with the ever-changing landscape we all face.
