A woman on 125th Street & Lexington getting high smoking a crack pipe! I found myself triggered for many reasons. If you know my story you know why! I actually talked to her. While she was willing to talk to me she never stopped getting high. And ultimately at the end of the day she said she would never stop! There are days as a photographer I just don’t want to! But then there are days like today when I see the beauty in the ugly. When I see the truth in our communities. When I see the struggle that IS! is my origin. It’s where my heart beats the truest, and where I feel the most comfortable!!
