Hi everyone itās been awhile since Iāve posted but hereās a little update as to why I havenāt posted in a while. Still an ongoing process š
Iām beyond grateful, my little āmonstersā were born earlier than expected and my love for my husband grew so much stronger watching him take care of the boys and myself. Not much longer after being discharged from the hospital I started to feel extreme pains from my C-Section, I remember telling numerous doctors/nurses while I was still in the hospital about it but was told āitās normalā. We came home on Friday as a family so happy and excited, not long after I started coughing up blood and developed high fevers, chills, and more pains. I felt terrible mentally, physically, and emotionallyā¦.my husband really went above and beyond caring for our babies and me, which made me feel as if I was an absent parent since I could barely move and just wanted to sleep. I slowly pushed forward to help him out with the babies and with the c section recovery. Iād feel fine for a bit then all the sudden become very sore and had a hard time breathing. I called my OB doctor to inform them of everything going on especially coughing up blood, they said go to the ER if it worsens or I donāt feel well. I really wanted to recover on my own but unfortunately I had to go to the hospital because I was really struggling. I was luckily taken straight back after explaining my situation, I had an infection from the c section incision. That news made me very upset, I cried/worried I just wanted to be healthy and with my family. One of my OB doctors came to see me in the hospital and looked at the infection, I was told it wasnāt bad then she drained the incision and stated I could go home that night. I was not comfortable with going home considering I was having difficulty breathing and also coughing up blood, the doctor said I could stay overnight if I wanted to. My mother was with me in the ER and not even 10 minutes later my body went into sepsis. I couldnāt breathe, there was basically and entire medical staff in the ER room trying to help me. I was going to die right then and there but by the grace of god someone was watching over me and I slowly started to breathe again. The infection (that the OB doctor said was fine and wanted to send me home) spread throughout my body and affected my heart as well weakening it from the shock. I was admitted from that point and stayed three nights to be monitoredā¦.My lungs were filled with fluid I was coughing up blood, my BP was high, I had postpartum cardiomyopathy, and the abscess infection on top of everything else. With much support from my husband, mom, sister, family I made it and survived, Iām still recovering but Iām happy to be home with my family.
Please share my story to bring āpregnancy awarenessā to light.
