“Voodoo” was created in 2012, originally for a Christian Louboutin show before finding its home on the stage of the Crazy Horse. Choreographed by Psykko, the number began with Louboutin’s idea to revisit one of the Crazy Horse’s classic “teasing” acts, a slow, sensual piece that highlights the elegance of legs and shoes - but with a new twist.
After visiting Louboutin’s atelier, Psykko was struck by his collection of art and artifacts from around the world, particularly pieces from Africa. These works inspired her to reimagine the performance as a kind of spiritual and almost mystical act, where the shoes themselves seem to take control, driving the dancers into hypnotic motion to the rhythm of African beats.
What makes “Voodoo” so captivating is its contrast. The quiet, seductive opening transitions to explosive, almost out of control movements. Introduced to the Totally Crazy show in 2017, “Voodoo” has since become one of Crazy Horse’s signature acts. To me, it’s a seamless blend of the dancer lines and precision, and the glamour of the louboutin shoes.
I feel very lucky to have had this chat and to have been coached by the wonderful Psykko before my premier last night, and wanted to share this nugget of history with you all 🖤

I am excited to share with you what SASSY is all about!

I created Sassy for a desire to have a fun collectible style lipstick brand that tells a story with each color and bullet.

I want every lipstick to take you back to an experience or help you embody a certain Sassy attitude we all have in us.

Not only is the formula clean and vegan with incredible moisturising benefits, Sassy is made to give you joy in each case and colour.

Lipstick for many of us, is our first makeup item we had tried as young girls, and I remember feeling so empowered and so happy to be a girl that can have this sort of play in our lives.

I still feel this to this day, and I want girls and women all over the world to be reminded that beauty is unserious and is all about how you want to feel in it.

Can’t wait for you to try it! 💖
