👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽I agree with this part, and I said what I said. The truth only becomes “racist” or “controversial” when it makes certain people uncomfortable. If Nolan Wells were white and the people involved were Black, the outrage would be nonstop, the headlines would be louder, and everybody would suddenly be demanding answers and accountability.
But because the shoe is on the other foot, some people would rather argue, deflect, and protect their comfort than admit there may be a serious double standard. If speaking on that makes people mad, maybe they should ask themselves why the truth hit a nerve.
Justice shouldn’t depend on race. Justice for Nolan Wells. 🕊️✊🏾
