Tried to get on the 2016 train but got caught up in February 2023 :). What a blessed life! My sister and I have traveled all over the world for art and there’s nothing better than discovering art and the world with baby sis! Art week in Mexico City is one of my favorites. It’s the full experience: Art, Food, Fashion and vibes. Who’s heading to CDMX next week?

This is one example of why art matters and why art remains essential.
Posted • Inspired by a photograph of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King after Dr. King received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, "The Embrace" a new public sculpture in Boston by artist , honors the love between the Kings and stands as a symbol of equity and justice.

"This work is a reminder that each of us has in us the capacity to be either of those two people or actually something inspired by and more influential."

After almost three years of sheltering-in and maintaining a clean bill of health, we are facing a Tripledemic: Flu, R.S.V and COVID are all part of the current seasonal shift.

My love feels like s**t today so I’m making chicken soup and boosting our immunity by hydrating with warm lemon juice, fresh ginger and honey. Lysine supplements are what’s up!

How are you feeling ? What’s your immunity secret/health hack?

“"I was interested in painting these sneezes as a kind of mini-event. I wanted to paint what it actually felt like to sneeze, rather than what it looked like to sneeze...A very small explosion coming out of [the] face."

“Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieve it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” - Dylan Thomas

Grief never goes away. Time is passing and memories are fading but some moments remain ingrained in our minds and hearts almost frozen in time. Today is about acceptance and honoring the memory of my father.

“Iranian women are making history. They are teaching the world — including the Muslim world — about the glaring difference between opting to wear hijab and being forced to wear it, whether by law or due to social pressure and mental bullying. Finally, non-hijabi women are not afraid to proudly defy their Islamist oppressors. Regardless of the future of the regime in Iran, the discourse about the veil has changed. The era of shaming Muslim women for not wearing the hijab is over. Our hair is now a flag of honour and a symbol of freedom.”
