Started the day early and ended the evening at the Kesem at UC San Diego Make the Magic Gala last Saturday.

Both pieces included in the charity auction and were purchased right at the start of the bidding, which was such a wonderful surprise. 😊

Make the Magic is an annual fundraiser supporting Kesem, a nonprofit that provides free summer camps and year-round support for children whose parents are affected by cancer. I’m always grateful to be able to contribute a small part through my artwork and support their mission.

It’s been a long time since I taught a full week of art camp .scol , and this week I worked with teen students using brushes to draw figures—no pencils, no erasers, just direct brushwork.

In just one week, they managed to accurately capture human proportions and structure, follow the flow of the spine, and convey the full dynamics of the figure. Their potential is truly amazing!

Seeing their progress got me so excited—moments like this really make teaching feel so rewarding. ✨

A custom piece for Broadway Pharmacy in Lemon Grove, and it carries a similar vibe to my previous Lemon Grove artwork. 🍋

The owner told me she really loved my original piece, so she invited me to create something inspired by her pharmacy — but with its own personality and a touch of Norman Rockwell–style warmth. I had such a great time blending the nostalgic, everyday-life charm with the unique character of her shop.

Feeling grateful for the trust, the kindness, and the chance to paint another slice of Lemon Grove in my own way. 💛✨

Today I took little Marson to Coronado Island to drop off a restock at . The island is truly beautiful—at Coronado Ferry Landing Village you can see the downtown skyline across the bay, and with the perfect weather, I have to say San Diego is just stunning. If you’re ever on the island, feel free to stop by the store—there are so many artsy and festive holiday items to explore!

After the delivery, I brought Marson to that my friend recommended to see the Christmas train display. It was such a magical little winter wonderland! ❄️

The Courage in the Lens: A Reunion with Art and Myself 🎨✨
This year, I became a mother — and my little Mars is turning one soon. 💫
A huge thank-you to photographer Tao Tao 🍑, who helped me see the part of myself that still holds a paintbrush and chases the light.

📸 We took over eighty photos, and I honestly love every single one of them.
These few are just a glimpse — little pieces of light, life, and this unforgettable first year of motherhood.
