In just 14 days, my lifelong dream takes center stage.

EBONÉ, the play I began writing when I was just 13 years old, will make its full NYC debut this July. All five acts, brought to life by an incredible cast — including my own son, Matteo — will finally be shared with the world.

This story has been 30 years in the making. And now, as the playwright and producer, I’m doing everything I can to bring it across the finish line — personally funding rehearsal space, costumes, props, meals, tech, and more.

Whether embodying characters onstage or managing cues and costumes behind the scenes, Ameya brings unmatched versatility, training, and joy to every role she plays. A Hofstra University theatre artist with credits across Vanguard Theater Company, Greater Boston Stage, and Powerhouse Theater at Vassar, she’s also danced principal roles in Boston’s Urban Nutcracker and trained in classical voice and movement.
