A lot of people ask what this project and installation actually is, so here we go. The Heavy Weight began as a way to collect anonymous burdens from people in our community. The more stories we received, the more it felt like collecting them wasn’t enough. We began creating installations - small rooms that let the public read and listen to these burdens. The hope is that by creating these physical spaces, we can create an environment that lets people feel less alone as they work through their own traumas, heartbreaks, and hardships. It highlights the humanity in all of us, seeing how similar our own stories are to those around us. Our next installation is in 5 days - we hope to see you there. Link in bio to reserve your spot.
