has a story to tell, and it ROCKS.
Liz was born in South Korea, raised in Minnesota, and moved to Brooklyn more than a decade ago.
Five years ago while hiking in New Jersey, Liz found a rock that was the approximate size, shape, and weight of a vintage Nokia cellphone.
She painted it accordingly and hasn't stopped since!
Liz has painted rocks to look like just about everything: pizza slices, pieces of cake, Blockbuster videos, Vaseline, microwaves, googley eyes, remote controls, macaroni and cheese, and tuna salad sandwiches. Whatever she sees in a rock, that's what she paints. Sometimes she leaves rocks she's painted in Prospect Park in a hollow tree by The Boathouse. Hidden treasures, How cool is THAT?
Look for Betty at a Micasa event this spring, or wherever else rock stars do their rock stuff.
