Jess, Logan, and Susanna recently attended the 2026 TYA/USA National Festival & Conference, hosted by the Alliance Theatre. From thought-provoking conversations to creative workshops and new connections, we left energized by the incredible community of artists and educators dedicated to theater for young audiences.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and bring new ideas back to Flying Leap. We can’t wait to put that inspiration into action as we continue creating meaningful, interactive experiences for children and families. 🎭💛

2026 is a big year for Flying Leap. ✨

This year, we’ll continue Beyond the Wall in Nogales — deepening partnerships and carrying this work forward with the community that first brought our giant puppets together at the border.

This fall, The Garden will tour to 10+ sites across NYC, sharing magic, movement, and space for big conversations with families in NYCHA communities.

We’re also strengthening our foundation as a nonprofit — investing in artists, nurturing our ensemble, and building sustainably for the future.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and so grateful you’re part of it. 💛

A special moment for Flying Leap — the first time our full board gathered together in one place. ✨

We spent time reflecting on our plans for 2026, beginning to dream about what 2027 might hold, and stepping back to look at the bigger picture of where this work can grow.
There was also time to share a meal, spend restorative moments in nature, and simply be together as a community.

Grateful for the space to pause, imagine, and dream collectively about the years ahead. 🌿

Logan is our Producer and Development Lead at Flying Leap. They support our performances behind the scenes, work closely with artists and partners, and help make sure the funding is in place so the work can happen.
