Cora came into the final day of the season needing to finish 5th or better to clinch the season crown. Running second to last appeared to be an advantage as the ground continued to improve the further down the draw. Cora ran an amazing 16.90 to get her first rodeo win of the season and clinch the District 2 Barrel racing title.

The IJHSRA District 2 season wrapped up today. It ended accomplishing the goal Cora set last fall at the beginning of the season. After coming into the final weekend tied for 2nd place in barrels and 2 points behind the leader, Cora finished second on Saturday and first on Sunday to clinch the title. In addition, she finished 3rd in Pole bending. We are fortunate to have two great horses in the lineup that Cora has ridden to this great accomplishment. Congratulations Cora! 2026 IJHSRA District 2 Barrel Racing Champion! 2 rodeo
