No beautiful sunrise photo today, but, boy, we sure are grateful for the rain! 🌧️ All of our flower plants and vegetable plants were ready for a drink!

Our sunflower festival is only 47 days away! 🌻

We are hoping to open our u-pick flower field in about 2-3 weeks, but we will post a definite date as the flowers progress and get closer to blooming. 🌸

It’s hard to tell from these photos, but our Cuppett Bros. Farm U-Pick Flower Field is doing very well so far! We are eagerly awaiting blooms, though, of course! Nature is a great teacher of patience. 🤗 Our best guess is that we will be able to open our u-pick flower field within a few weeks. We will keep you posted!

Did you know our farm is home to one of Bedford County’s 14 covered bridges? It was built in 1882, and has remained in the Cuppett family since it was built. Unlike most of the other covered bridges in the county, our bridge is unpainted, boasting of a rustic, weathered, natural wood appearance. The bridge is not drivable, but we do encourage visitors to park and walk across the bridge and even down to the cool creek water flowing underneath.

Yesterday, Matt, Cecil, and Kim planted a few hundred watermelon and cantaloupe plants. Sandy and Jacob supervised the farm operations. Jacob also volunteered to be quality control once the melons are ripe! 😁🍉

🔍 Scaveger Hunt for Kids 🔍

•Grab a scavenger hunt card from the bouquet booth when you arrive at the festival

•As you walk around the sunflower field and festival grounds, check off all the items on the scavenger hunt card as you find them

•Return the completed card to the bouquet booth to earn a Cuppett Bros. Farm Sunflower Festival sticker and one free sunflower stem from the field (kids may choose/get their own flower from the field while completing the scavenger hunt)
