✨ Introducing the Sherri Marina Memorial Community-Builder Award ✨

Named in honor of the incomparable Sherri Marina—artist, educator, mentor, and community pillar—this award recognizes an individual who brings the New Orleans theatre community closer together. Someone who, like Sherri, moves across the city, uplifts others, and helps our ecosystem thrive.

We are beyond thrilled to announce our inaugural recipient: Monica R. Harris 💫

A Black Filipina multidisciplinary artist, producer, and director, Monica (she/they) has been a driving force in New Orleans theatre for over two decades—performing in 50+ productions, serving as Board President of the New Orleans Fringe Festival, and creating spaces (like New Orleans Onstage) that keep our community connected.

This honor celebrates not just their artistry, but their impact—the way they show up for this community again and again.

🏆 The award will be presented at the inaugural Pat Bourgeois Awards ceremony this Spring in New Orleans—an evening celebrating the artists and collaborators who make our theatre scene so vibrant.
