Following Mardi Gras, one of the most significant days for the Mardi Gras Indians is Super Sunday. This usually takes place the third Sunday of March, around St. Joseph's Day.

We're grateful to Queen Lo for graciously allowing the BK House to showcase her stunning suits during our St. Joseph celebrations.

If you haven't already, come by and experience a special part of this New Orleans tradition.

What a beautiful morning sharing the first day of our Saint Joseph’s Altar! Thank you to everyone who joined us in faith, fellowship, and tradition. But the day isn’t over yet— there’s still time to come and be a part of this special occasion. Stop by and honor Saint Joseph with the Historic BK House and friends.

All donations from the Altar will be dedicated to covenant house.

And it doesn’t stop there… starting at 6pm is our Sicilian food and w**e pairing this evening. See you soon!

STARTING TOMORROW, The Historic BK House Celebrates Italian Heritage with the St. Joseph Altar Blessing which includes a first-ever religious procession from St. Mary’s Church.

Donations collected at BK House will be donated to Covenant House. The altar will remain open to the public at BK House from March 19th - 21st.

Each visitor will learn more about the history of the St. Joseph’s Altar and will receive a traditional prayer card, Italian cookie, blessed bread, and a fava bean, traditionally known as a “lucky” bean. Visitation is free.

We will continue to honor Italian Heritage with Sicilian Food & W**e pairing tomorrow evening, and an Italian-inspired Courtyard Concert featuring Bon Operatit! At 6 pm. Visit www.bkhouse.org.
