🌟 Meet the Artists of IDFNOLA 🌟

First up in our artist introduction series: Daniel Navarro Lorenzo from Barcelona, Spain.

Daniel is an internationally recognized choreographer, performer, and director whose work has been seen across the globe. His unique artistic voice, physical intensity, and expressive storytelling through movement have earned him recognition throughout the contemporary dance world.

And he’s only the first.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing many more of the incredible artists, teachers, choreographers, and performers who will be joining us in New Orleans this September.

This year’s dance film events bring together 15 films from around the world across two unique screening experiences.

Spanning continents and cinematic approaches, this year’s selections move between the mythic and the deeply personal. Audiences will encounter films in which folklore meets contemporary life and personal stories resonate far beyond themselves, alongside artist conversations and opportunities for community connection.

We are honored to welcome these filmmakers and artists to 2026 DANCE FILM @ IDFNOLA, and look forward to sharing their work with New Orleans this September.
