Mardi Gras Magic: New Orleans Dances Through the Storm

Neither wind nor rain can dampen the spirit of New Orleans! Today, our city came alive with the vibrant colors and joyous sounds of Mardi Gras. The Zulu and Rex krewes led the charge, adjusting their routes and start times to ensure everyone’s safety amidst weather concerns. A testament to our resilience and love for tradition, the festivities marched on, proving once again that nothing can stand in the way of our celebration. Laissez les bon temps rouler!

🎭🌬 Mother Nature is crashing our Mardi Gras Party!

Hey, NOLA fam—lousy news from the weather gods. Due to those rude, windy guests crashing our party, we've gotta switch things up tomorrow (March 4):

• Zulu kicks off bright and early at 6:30 a.m., with Rex hot on its heels at 9:30 a.m. (coffee, anyone?)
• Both parades will roll along shorter routes—think Mardi Gras Lite™️.
• Rex will swing a left onto Jackson Ave. and head home to the den early.
• Zulu wraps up at the Superdome on Poydras Street.
• Unfortunately, there will be no marching bands or extra parade elements this year (the wind has been hatin' on brass bands).
• And sorry, truck parade folks—you’ll have to wait a bit longer. A new date is coming soon!

We know it’s not ideal, but safety first—so grab your umbrellas, pack extra beads, and laissez les bon temps roll (carefully)! 💜💚💛
