The latest update on memorial activities for Dreux Blalock:

Dreux’s family has decided to wait until after the holidays to hold Dreux’s memorial in order to have time to properly prepare to honor his wishes for his memorial.

The family is asking that people submit their favorite photos of Dreux into this Google Drive directory hosted by our friends from The Consortium of Genius:

So be looking through your photo histories for you favorite memories to have them handy. Please note that this album is shared directly with Dreux’s family for their review and memories of Dreux and choose the photos you upload accordingly.

We fully intend to have memorial services after the rush of the holidays has passed and we have been able to make proper plans in accordance with Dreux’s wishes.

Thanks to all who have shared their condolences and memories. It does our hearts good to hear from so many who Dreux has impacted over the years.

We are heartbroken to have to step from our dark shadows (retirement) to inform everyone, that Dreux Blalock, Our Sabbot leader, our Captain of the Sub, Our Russian general, started his last voyage into the unknown, yesterday November 24, 2022.

We are understandably shocked and absolutely devastated, as are many others, by the loss of our dear friend, our brother (in arms), and not only member of our Con family but member of our normal family. As such an active member of the Gulf Coast Convention World, his loss will be felt by many, for many years to come.

Knowing Dreux like we did, I can't think of a better last words here, then the poem O Captain! My Captain! By Walt Whitman about the death of President Lincoln.
Rest well Brother, our love and hearts go with you.

Oh yeah lovies. Some of you expressed concerns/anger at the Adult Bev issues last year. The right thing is that "No adult bev are allowed outside of rooms unless it is purchased from the hotel bar."
I also have been told to pass along the message:
If you are drinking ...uhhhhmmmmm..... Non adult bev's please keep them in a cup with a lid. *hint hint thumb nose side eye*

What better way to spend YOUR extra long weekend then geeking out with your friends and playing VTM with us! Also new this year at MobiCon is that a day game of White Wolf's Garou will be held during the day! So you can get your howl on during the day and your Vamp on at night this year!
Please take a few minutes and go online to WWW.WARHORN.NET and register for our game! It is under red rev folks. This lets MobiCon help keep track of who all is playing what and the numbers of folks playing! Also if you plan to play in OTHER games, many have a player cutoff (not us) so you can reserve your spot NOW for those as well!
We will be giving ya'll something a bit extra for registering online for the game! It also has our schedule in the red rev intro to our game! See you guys in a few days!!!

Remember everyone to make plans for MobiCon Memorial day weekend! The new location rocks and is right there on the corner of Dophine in downtown Mobile AL! Also we are super excited to let everyone of our "furrier" players know that MES (Mind's eye Society) will be running a Garou game during the day this year!!!! Their game should end just about the time ours will start. So come one out and get your fur and fang on at MobiCon 2015!!!!
