Here’s a little impromptu take on my tune Forces of Nature, as captured a few months ago aboard by the multitalented .lake
We spent a little over a week in late June anchored in this desolate bay - Bahia de la Ascension, México - where dolphins came to visit us everyday and we witnessed giant loggerhead head turtles mating on multiple occasions. The water is an intensely bright yet opaque turquoise unlike any we’ve seen anywhere else. We even had a rare up-close visit from a curious pelican early one morning - we think it might have been our dad coming to check on us. Upon leaving the bay we had some strong currents and big waves that may have sent some of the crew heaving over the rail. Forces of nature, ever vivid and inescapable, as usual.
