Eli Lynch has one of my little Herrings. It’s definitely doing its job. At only 1.5 oz, it’s in a special class of twitchy glide baits that can be fished on medium heavy bass tackle or finesse swimbait tackle like the Leviathan Rods Omega Finesse.

Just got a batch of whistler heads from Tony Homer decoys for the first ever LA special whistling duck season in October. I’m pretty sure these are the first whistler heads ever from Homer. I asked for some and he went to work same day.
They look great and have a feathery texture similar to flocking.
I usually carve, mold and cast my own heads for my decoys, but at $7 a head, I don’t think I can justify the work. Plus, I just didn’t have the time.
I’ll make the foam bodies soon. Maybe I’ll post the process as I go.
