Now on view at Arthur Roger Gallery on Julia Street in New Orleans through August.

What a ride! Incredibly honored to have it premiere at White Linen, where it was accessible to thousands of people who came through the gallery this past weekend. The way my work is usually intended. This elevated space showcasing the work adds to its meaning and purpose.

Proud to announce my first gallery artwork, Coral Conscience, is premiering at Arthur Roger Gallery for White Linen Night this Saturday!

The concept for a coral piece has been running in my mind since 2012. Coral Conscience is inspired by snorkeling among the vibrant reefs of the Virgin Islands as a teenager, then returning as an adult to find them drastically diminished and nearly entirely bleached. By lifting coral, an animal often mistaken for part of the landscape, out of the sea and placing it on display, the artwork highlights the fragility of reef ecosystems and our power to either contribute to their destruction or support their recovery.

If you’re bopping around Julia Street this Saturday, pop by and say hi! My sculpture will be on display, among the incredible artwork of my talented artist friends, through the month of August.

Here’s a little teaser. Hope to see you there!
