Wow… where do I even begin? 🤍✨
This weekend completely stole my heart.
The second I arrived in New Martinsville, I knew it was going to be something special. Everyone welcomed me with the biggest smiles, the warmest hugs, and so much kindness that I truly felt right at home from the very first moment. This community has such a beautiful way of making everyone feel like family, and I will forever be grateful that I got to experience that.🫶🏻🌈
Standing on stage and looking out at the crowd was one of those moments I’ll never forget. Seeing so many smiling faces, families making memories, kids laughing, people dancing, and everyone coming together reminded me why the Back Home Festival is so incredibly special. It isn’t just a festival—it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and making people feel like they belong. Now, getting to be part of that tradition is something I’ll treasure forever.☺️
One of my favorite parts of the weekend was getting to hula hoop my heart out with all the kids. Watching them laugh, dance, and have so much fun made my heart so happy. Those little moments are the ones I’ll remember forever.✨
Of course, I had to make my daily stop at SodaLicious… all three days! Safe to say it became part of my festival routine, and it was just as amazing every single time. I also got to try so much delicious food, shop with so many incredible vendors, and even found the cutest outfits that I already can’t wait to wear all year long. Every booth had something unique, and it was so much fun supporting all the amazing local businesses that help make this festival so special.🥤💗
And to everyone in New Martinsville—thank you. Thank you for making me laugh, dance, smile, and feel so incredibly loved all weekend long. Thank you for reminding me what community is all about. You made this girl from another part of West Virginia feel like she had found another place to call home.🤗
My heart is so full of gratitude, my camera roll is full of memories, and my feet are definitely tired from all the dancing. 😂💃 But if I could do it all over again tomorrow, I absolutely would.
Thank you, Back Home Festival, for reminding me that “home” isn’t always where you’re from—sometimes it’s the people who welcome you with open arms and make you feel like you’ve belonged there all along.
Until next time, New Martinsville… you’ll always have a special place in my heart. 🩷🏡✨👽✌🏼
