GAMBIT VS SHANG CHI AT THE X-MANSION WAS STRAIGHT CINEMA!
This is one of the wildest moments from the Avengers: Doomsday trailer that was exclusively revealed to the attendees of yesterday's Disney & Marvel Studios presentation at CinemaCon.
The trailer suddenly cuts to the destroyed X-Mansion grounds at night.
The place is pure hell. Destroyed Sentinels lie broken across the battlefield while massive incursion rifts tear through the crimson sky above.
Fires are raging everywhere. The iconic school is now nothing but rubble and flames. Explosions keep ripping through the dark gardens as that blood-red sky burns overhead like the actual end of the world.
Then the Raging Cajun, Gambit drops in looking straight out of a 1990s Jim Lee comic book! Trench coat flowing in the wind, crimson eyes glowing, every single detail comic accurate and deadly.
He flips through the air, slams his glowing purple staff into the ground, then unleashes an earth-shattering impact followed by his signature Royal Flush. Those kinetically charged cards explode across the battlefield in bright purple and pink energy, lighting up the entire dark scene like fireworks in the middle of war.
He doesn't stop there. He starts rapid firing combinations of charged cards that turn the whole fight into a stunning light show cutting through the chaos.
Shang-Chi is right there matching every move. He spins all ten rings in a hypnotic blur, blocking every single card with perfect timing and firing them right back with insane precision.
The colors explode, the movement, the way the glowing cards illuminate the darkness, the pure intensity between the Ragin Cajun and the master of the Ten Rings, it was one of the most vibrant and explosive moments in the entire trailer.
The whole CinemaCon theater lost their damn minds watching that duel. This fight alone already has me hyped beyond words for Avengers: Doomsday!
