Musical Theatre Audition Training Camp and NY Showcase

Class Dates: 8/30, 9/2, 9/3, 9/7, 9/8
9am - 12pm

Show Date: 9/9
5:00pm

Ages 9 - 18

Cost: $275

Come join us as we spend two weeks acting, singing, dancing and telling stories!
Each student will work on a monologue, solo song and group dance number.
Students will come out prepared and ready to audition for junior high, high school, college and professional theatre.
They will be working with a Director/Choreographer and a Musical Director.

The classes and showcase will be at The Chain Theatre in Manhattan.
312 West 36th Street

The showcase will consist of monologues, songs and a huge group number from one of your favorite Broadway shows!

There will be a New York theatre/film director and a manager from a well respected agency in attendance. The students will have the opportunity to ask them questions and receive feedback.

Teaching Artist: Director/Choreographer
Mary Lauren (Director) is a passionate and multifaceted artist who loves to tell stories. She has been directing artists for almost 20 years. Her cabarets have raised money for artists and for organizations including the NAACP and ACLU. She has had work seen Off-Broadway and regionally as a Director, Writer, Performer, Producer and Choreographer. She is a proud member of AEA, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has written several new works including; My Shadow and Me (Cape May Stage) and Start With I Do (Chain One Act Festival). She choreographed and was the lead dancer in the film, Dream of Spring which has been featured in festivals all over the world. Recent acting credits include: Louise, Gypsy (The Secret) Donna, Believers (The Workshop Theatre) Sarah, Sarah Was Mine (Cherry Lane) Sophia, Sophia (June Havoc) Helena, Midsummer (Mysterium) and Gertrude, Hamlet (Compass Rose). Some favorite directing/choreography credits include; Fabulous The Musical (Times Square Arts Center), Hair (The Secret Theatre), Seussical (The Secret Theatre) , Thoroughly Modern Millie (The Music Room), and My Shadow and Me (Cape May Stage).
