# 🛠 Dust Control SOP for Curb Painters (Grinding Outside)

**Purpose:** Prevent dust from blowing into the street, lawns, or customer property during curb paint prep.
**Applies to:** All curb painters using grinders outside.

✅ Step 1 — Setup

* ☐ Grinder with **dust shroud** attached
* ☐ **HEPA shop vac** connected to grinder
* ☐ Extension cord with **outdoor GFCI**
* ☐ **Tarp/drop cloth** (3–4 ft wide) placed under curb
* ☐ **Plastic shield** if near cars, flowers, or windows

✅ Step 2 — Grinding

* ☐ Keep **dust shroud sealed** flat on curb
* ☐ **Vacuum ON** during entire grinding
* ☐ Work in **3–4 ft curb sections**
* ☐ Lightly **mist curb with water** if extra dust forms
* ☐ Always wear **N95 or half-mask respirator**

✅ Step 3 — Cleanup

* ☐ Vacuum ground around curb after grinding
* ☐ Roll tarp carefully to trap dust, double-bag debris
* ☐ Sweep or blow curb to leave **dust-free finish**
* ☐ Wipe any nearby overspray/dust spots
* ☐ Take **before & after photos**

Good morning Mother!

I miss you and all the zany things you do! The thing was standing outside doing a storm and commanding the will of God to be true to his word to redirect the tornado.

To come by and take you to birthday breakfast just the two of us and acting like two crazy kids. Remember how you add rhinestones to hats and jackets.

Just know how much I still love you and miss you every day! Love the opportunity to hang out and talk about anything no hold barred.

Remember this like yesterday. My first curb project in was ten years ago.

Had a total of 500 homes and was still trying to work as an insurance agent. Hired a couple of guys that thought could do the job that was in my head.

But my wife was no better in the end the work was lousy and had to finish the work.

But the damage was done and I got the pink slip to exit the subdivision and return the down payment.

I have been doing work for and . At the time I am back working on a small curb project of 152.

Happy to be back on my anniversary and be excused from the lousy work from my workers.

So you need to be checking to see if the city has a curb painting ordinance and fonts that would like to use.

has a form for you to fill out with specs on the background box and fonts. They like the fonts.

Make sure to check the city to see if they have an ordinance.
