Crossing the lines of age, gender, and occupation to create a diverse group of people, local musicians have pooled their talents to make up the Community Band. While the band does include several current or past band directors, the majority of band members are purely amateurs. Averaging about 50 members, the band's main emphasis is to entertain the audience for which it plays, varying the music fo

r the occasion. Performing as an American show band, the musical group has a large repertoire that includes German Music, show tunes, Big Band, rousing marches, classical arrangements, military theme songs, and seasonal music. The band also performs selections from the modern wind band genre. We rehearse every Monday night in New Braunfels, from 7pm to 9pm. The only requirements are that you are 18 or older, (if you are younger than 18 then you need to have an adult sponsor within the band) read music, able to play a concert band instrument (brass, woodwind or percussion) and are willing to have fun with us. The Comal Community Band is under the direction of Mr.

Final Rehearsal before our Performance of “Broadway at the Brauntex - Part 2” on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm. All Seats are taken, but the Brauntex is taking names for “Stand-by” seating. The Comal Community Band members are “stoked” and “ready” to perform for a sell out crowd. Here are a few photos taken before tonight’s rehearsal.
