I have officially named my Longarm Quilting machine and Frame after my Grandmother “Julia”. The picture on the right was her quilting frame. I’m lucky enough to have it. I used hers last year to quilt an older quilt on it.
Well it is finally ready for showing. A nice 48x64” Quilt for this years 2022 BIKE MS Ride in New Bern. It has a sleeve on the back for wall hanging if you prefer to use it that way. The drawing will be held on September 11th. If someone not local wins the Quilt I will ship at my cost. Anyone donating to my goal will receive tickets for a chance to win the quilt. The more money you give the more tickets you get! Help me reach my goal! If you would like to join my team and ride with us let me know that too.

This is an update on a post from about a week ago. I finished the quilt I was working on. This quilt is going to be auctioned off at the American Daylily Society Annual Convention this coming up July. The lilies you see are winners from the past nine years. It has a sleeve at the top so the quilt can be wall hung. I think it turned out pretty good. I hope it brings them a lot of money!
I made a quilted table top for our house. I think the wife is happy 😃
Working on a new quilt! Will share when completed.
I’ve been working on a Monthly Quilt Along with Bernina World of Sewing out of Wilmington. Below is the first two months blocks. 6 more months to go. It’s going to be a BIG quilt! Will share more in the upcoming months. I decided to go with a two color palette.
Under the needle on the Regalia today.
My brother came by the studio yesterday and we worked on this baby quilt for his first grandchild. He is so excited and loved helping me make the quilt. It meant a lot to him to have been able to be a part of the creation of it. He even picked out the fabric and helped me at every step of the way, ironing to quilting it on the longarm.
Well I have spent the last two days hanging out with Oona. Spring break from school! We have made a Tutu for her rabbit and a pillowcase for her bed and two trips to the park! Great times.
This Beautiful T-shirt quilt that I made has been picked up by its owner. It’s a Big Queen size. If you can blowup the picture to read the wording in the border and sashing. It’s what the Girl Scouts is all about! #girlscoutsrock
Longarmed a few quilts for a few different ladies!
I made this beautiful Quilt with the Aurora Lights for a dear friend this past week. She loved it.

This is a great video that shows Cropping when Quilting using a Longarm Machine. This is a Quilt I’ve made for a retired USMC man.
I found this little pillow in the closet this past week. I made it in a Kimberbell Class 2 years ago. Perfect timing!
I made this one for a Lady in VA. The diamond ♦️ shaped fabric was from her kids fabric 30 years ago. This one is going to her second grandchild soon to be born. She loved the first quilt as much also!
Who’s going to do all of them this time?
Shop hop starts Tuesday, February 1, 10 AM.

I received my Squares for completing all the regions and both states for the All Carolina Shop Hop this past October and November.
Now to come up with an idea on how to incorporate them into a quilt. I also have one for each shop I visited.
Last night I shared an Alabama quilt. Tonight I’m sharing my Ohio State rag quilt. I made this quilt years ago. OH-
I’m not sure if this quilt had anything to do with Alabama winning today but Carolyn Ward (Jane’s mom) sure does enjoy watching them play covered up in the quilt I made her. ❤️
I made a long overdue visit to my Aunt Tootsie this past weekend. She was very happy to receive a quilt from me. She said my grandmother would be proud. Plus she gave me some homemade Pickled Beets - I’m really enjoying them too!
Better grab it while you can.
We have a few pieces of the ACSH fabric left:) It is now 50% off and is available in the shop or online.
To all my quilting friends I just wanted to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I have been in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia this week on my Annual trip here. I have been doing a little Shop Hopping on my trip!
While visiting Creative Sewing Machines in Mt. Airy I couldn’t miss a chance to visit Floyd The 💈 Barber. That’s where I got my Quilting name from!
Didn’t bring a sewing machine on this trip to the mountains. Doing some Shop Hopping and enjoying these fantastic views.
I entered this in a quilt show in Sanford this past weekend. ❤️
This is an update: I took a class at Sewing on the River back in June. Well today I got around to finishing what I started. I made my Mariners Compass into a wall hanging.
