gacy of Nobel Prize-winning author William Faulkner, who was born here in 1897. What started as a celebration of storytelling, arts, and local traditions has grown into one of Northeast Mississippi's premier community festivals. Today, Tallahatchie Riverfest welcomes thousands of visitors to historic downtown New Albany for a day filled with live music, local artisans, delicious food, family activities, and unforgettable memories. Produced by the New Albany Main Street Association, the festival continues to honor the spirit of the Tallahatchie River while showcasing the best of Mississippi hospitality and creativity. From the sounds of live music echoing through downtown streets to the laughter of families gathered along the riverbanks, Riverfest is a reflection of what makes our community special—a place where tradition meets progress and where neighbors and visitors come together to celebrate.

Applications are now open for artists, makers, crafters, and artisan vendors to be part of the 2026 Tallahatchie Riverfest in Historic Downtown New Albany on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Tallahatchie Riverfest is one of North Mississippi’s favorite annual festivals, bringing together live music, local food, shopping, family fun, and thousands of visitors for a day-long celebration in the heart of downtown.
Whether you create original artwork, handcrafted goods, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, home décor, specialty products, or unique artisan creations, we invite you to showcase your work at Riverfest 2026.
