Coming soon to the 76th Parade of the Hills Main Stage – the 2026 Baton Twirling Contest!🤩

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 22, 2026, as twirlers take the spotlight beginning at 12:00 noon. Both Solo and Team Events will be featured.

Register by Saturday, August 1, 2026, to avoid a $10 late fee.

Please note this is an outdoor, non-sanctioned event. There will be no changing rooms, but participants may bring their own changing tent. All plans are weather-dependent.

The lineup for the 76th Parade of the Hills Library Junction Nightly Entertainment is here! 🥳

We’re kicking things off with a fan-favorite for all ages: DJ WREX karaoke! Join us on Wednesday, August 19th, to sing a tune and maybe even win a prize!

On Thursday, August 20th, enjoy an uplifting Gospel performance.

Get ready to jam with Evan McCune on Friday, August 21st! Evan always delivers an outstanding performance, so you won’t want to miss it. Trust us!

Finally, on Saturday, August 22nd, we’ll wrap things up with Breaking Free. Breaking Free is a highly requested return band at Library Junction, and you'll have to see for yourself why they're so popular. Here’s a hint… they rocks!🤘🏻

Applications are now open for the 76th Little Miss Parade of the Hills Pageant!

Becoming Little Miss is about more than just wearing a crown. It's a chance for young girls to build confidence, make lifelong friends, represent Nelsonville and the Parade of the Hills across Ohio, and be part of a proud local tradition celebrating its 76th year.

Eligibility: Contestants must be 6 years old while running for Little Miss Parade of the Hills.

Applications are now OPEN for Miss Parade of the Hills!

The 76th Annual Parade of the Hills is looking for its 76th Miss Parade of the Hills — and it could be you!

This long‑standing tradition is more than a pageant; it’s an opportunity for young women to represent Nelsonville, build connections across Ohio, grow in confidence, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

If you’re a young woman from Athens, Washington, Morgan, Perry, Hocking, Vinton, or Meigs counties who is at least 16 years old and not older than 20 as of July 1, 2027. We invite you to apply! Applications will close on August 9th!

**DRUM ROLL, PLEASE!**

The 76th Parade of the Hills Main Stage Nightly Entertainment lineup is here!🥳

Kicking off the festivities is the talented group of students from the Afterschool Music Program at Stuart Oprea House. Stay tuned for updates on which bands will be performing on Wednesday, August 19th, from 8:00 to 10:00 PM.

An overwhelming number of POTH goers have been asking for a Fleetwood Mac tribute band to perform at the festival again; we listened and got the incredible Fleetwood Gold hitting the stage on August 20th from 8- 10 PM.

Next, we have a local favorite, The Road Runners! This alternative rock group will keep you on your feet with their energetic performance on Friday, August 21st, from 8:30 to 10:30 PM. We can't wait to hear them play!

Lastly, we are thrilled to present Deadman's Hand, who are coming all the way from Virginia but have strong ties to our local community. They will be rocking the stage on Saturday, August 22nd, from 8:30 to 10:30 PM, playing a mix of outlaw country and Southern rock!

🎊 We’re excited to announce that applications for the 4th Annual Baby & Kids Contest are now open on our website! 🎊

This year’s theme is "Red, White, and Baby Blue." We can't wait to see our contestants dressed in their cutest red, white, and baby blue attire! Whether it's patriotic, playful, classic, or creative, all styles are welcome.

What to Wear: Dress your contestant in their best red, white, and baby blue outfit. Show off their personality and creativity while celebrating this fun and festive theme!

The contest is open to children ages newborn through 5 years old.

Applications will close on August 16, 2026.

To register and pay the non-refundable $20 entry fee, visit www.paradeofthehills.org

The contest will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM on the Main Stage.

👑 All contestants will receive a crown!

Winners will be announced immediately following the contest. All decisions are final.

This is a one-day contest to benefit the Parade of the Hills. It is not a traveling title. However, contestants are welcome to join us in the Grand Parade on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Please note that a ride will not be provided for parade participants, and families are responsible for arranging their own transportation or entry into the parade.
