Meet us in Boonsboro Maryland August 7 and 8 for the VW Nationals at the Mason Dixon Dragway for the 12th VW Nationals! Scott Sain will be the DJ for the cruise in Friday at the Antietam Brewery Western Maryland Pkwy. That starts at 3pm. He is even bringing the The Charleston Beats Bus! Saturday the racing starts around 11am and runs all day. The Aircooled Streetcar Association will be there as well. Come see some of the fastest street legal aircooled VWs in the world battle it out on the track. Message Scott Pocaro for more info.

Well, better late than never. We have been running wide open since the event ended and I haven't had a chance to make a post about VW Drag Night 2026! We had a beautiful weekend and enjoyed seeing everyone at the track. We ran late Friday night and got down to two cars left in the Instant Green race. They were neighbors and friends and decided that they would split the pot right there. We played music and hung out in the lanes for a while and enjoyed the scene with everyone. The next day we woke up to a gorgeous day. Lots of great show cars and racers and people. We made it until almost the end of racing before a quick shower came over and shut us down. We split the purse between all the remaining racers and called it a day. Aircooled Streetcar Association had already finished and Brad Robertson won with a blistering 5.79 at 121 pass in A STREET CAR! If you don't know, that is a record for the class and one that may stand forever. Look on this page for the video. Knox won the Red Rocket Ragtop and was there to take it home. It was spotted the next day cruising down the back roads of S.C. headed back to Georgia. Timmy found the one of a kind Hot VWs license plate on the property during the Hot VWs Scavenger Hunt and pocketed $200 cash and a giveaway ticket. All in all, we had a great time and hated that we couldn't finish the race. We wanted to crown all of the winners. We will be back in November for Germanaire Drag Day on November 20-21 and back next April for VW Drag Night 2027.

Ticket #184 was the winner of the Red Rocket Ragtop! Knox was there and drove it all night after he took possesion! Timmy found the hidden Hot VWs license plate frame on the property and got the $200 cash and the free giveaway ticket. Thank you Hot VWs for the great stuff and for supporting our little event!

Entry fees and payouts for VW Drag Night 2026!

Friday night we will host the Instant Green Race and give $2500 to the winner! We may have some new rules for this year! We will go over them at the driver's meeting. $50 entry fee for the Instant Green class.

Gates open at 5 pm on Friday and 10 am on Saturday. See you there!

Gotta love it when friends who say they don't have enough room for a car but still want to support the event buy a ticket for someone who has had some misfortune. Robbie and his wife were hit in their bug a few weeks ago and were both severely injured. Geoffrey said, give it to them 100%! Good luck guys! And thank you all who support the event this way and through sponsorships and attending. Can't wait to get to the track and give the Red Rocket Ragtop away Saturday!
