Rather than using a traditional audience/performer relationship, John has developed interactive experiences where the audience become the stars of the show. This allows each show to be different than the last and makes for many off-the-cuff and unique moments between John and his volunteers. After several years of honing his craft and performing for people in his home state of Wyoming, John launched his first headlining tour, Locked UP in April of 2009. The show, which opened to sold out crowds included a very special stunt. The spectacle, Rotellini's first venture into stunt work, was entitled -B L I N D- and required John to spend a day without sight, wrapping up with a blind drive through the streets of his hometown in a 2009 Pontiac Solstice roadster. Three years later, in January of 2012, the show transitioned from it's original Locked UP format into the TOURPOCALYPSE brand. The show, a blend of high-octane illusions punctuated with close up effects, celebrity cameos and what can only be called "special" theatrical moments, entertained crowds across the U.S. and led to John's first full-length DVD - John Rotellini: TOURPOCALYPSE Live From The Gryphon Theatre. From late 2011 until early 2013 John spent most of his time on the road. After his critically-acclaimed tour wrapped its run during the middle of 2013, John began developing an all-new show - AGENT PROVOCATOUR which began in 2015 and is currently touring the United States. On April 19, 2016, John became the first magician to perform at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. John joined the Harlem Globetrotters (who were also completing another first for the arena - its first athletic event) to create some very special magic for their 90th Anniversary World Tour. Currently, John keeps very busy, raising thousands of dollars for charities that include Kidd's Kids, Children's Miracle Network, Win-Win Entertainment, The USO and Relay for Life while traveling the country entertaining audiences at various colleges, public and private events to rave reviews. He has been fortunate enough to gain sponsorship from Countryman Microphones, American Crew Men's Products and has had the privilege of having EXPRESS Fashion be the official wardrobe provider for some of his tours.

One of my favorite parts of helping clients is getting the opportunity to transform their events from ordinary to extraordinary, creating moments that move people, connect teams, and leave a lasting impact.

Lately, I’ve been getting asked a particular question more and more: -how- exactly do you do that?

The answer? It really depends. Venue, objectives, desired results, timing and audience all play their own unique roles.

Thankfully, whether it’s through performing, speaking, hosting, or helping shape engagement and flow behind the scenes, there are always ways to add a little light to the spaces we move through and create moments that are memorable, authentic, and meaningful.

With that in mind (and with the help of the exemplary Candi Luciano), we’ve created a new Promo Kit that shares what it’s like to partner together to bring these events to life. It includes an overview of the programs I offer and examples of how we use science, engagement, and fun to turn new ideas and existing event frameworks into experiences that audiences remember.

I’d love it if you’d take a look and would welcome your thoughts:
https://www.johnrotellini.com/general-overview-promotional-kit

Additionally, if you’re planning an upcoming event, I’d be happy to connect and explore how we can make it unforgettable.

Not in that world but know someone who might be? I’d be grateful if you shared this post or made an introduction.

Grateful. Thankful. Appreciative.

I’m very fortunate to have a great family, wonderful friends and a career I love amongst many other blessings.

I’m also entirely too lucky to have someone wonderful by my side to share all of that with.

Thank you, for sticking around, being present and for being willing to lean in to the madness, even when it means long distance flights, longer distance phone calls and needing entirely too much patience.

You’ve got a knack for making long days seem easier and easy days seem longer in the best of ways.

Glad to be able to have you as my partner.

Here’s to continuing the adventure 🥃

Being able to share smiles with friends near and far is one of my favorite things about my career.

Thanks to Win Win Charity, it’s partners and sponsors, I’ve had the opportunity to make new friends in person as well as virtually at Children’s Hospitals around the country.

Over the past few years, I’ve grown to become close with two very special members of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN, Mamie Shepherd and Cayce Long.

They’re incredible on-air hosts for the hospital and come up with tons of ongoing 24/7 programming for their patients, staff and guests and have been integral in helping Win-Win create a national network of friends.

It’s incredible to see how positive, driven and joyous these folks are in their mission to make sure the world is a better place, even in the face of tragedy.

Thank you to Mamie, Cayce for the warmest of welcomes back to Nashville and to their campus for my first in-person, on-site visit to their studio.

Thanks to all of the patients, family and staff who took the time to come into studio and to our friends at Seacrest Studios in Ohio and Georgia for making this a live multi-state broadcast as well.

Even when the world gets a little darker, the work you all do shines especially bright.

Looking forward to our next in-person hang out and many more virtual ones in the coming weeks!

4/4 TCS New York City Marathon marathon recap!

Crossing the finish was incredibly fulfilling and being awarded my finisher medal was fantastic. It’s phenomenal how heavy they are!

After the race, finishers needed to make their way through a series of checkpoints to get the last of our post race swag, see medical if needed and get a proper cool down in.

Everyone that I interacted with that had anything to do with the race was so kind and professional. The atmosphere surrounding the race, be it in the lead up to, during or after was really magical.

That magic continued once I exited the finisher corral and got to reconvene with my cheering section. While I had friends and family sending their support in the lead up to, and during the race digitally, the always lovely Alex Moore supported me in the months of preparation leading up to the race, traveled to New York with me, and was at the finish line to cheer me on.

Getting to see her smile and show off my flashy new hardware was really fun.

We then headed into the city further to grab a much needed post race snack and a celebratory cocktail (Alex was kind enough to help me down the stairs 😂😂😂).

The next day, we ventured back into Manhattan for and had an amazing dinner with our dear friends and gracious hosts Dan Erosa and Tom Fox.

All in all, a dream come true and a mission success.

Thanks to everyone who helped me prepare, train, and get across the line. There’s a number of fantastic organizations and individuals who have made this possible. By no means a comprehensive list: Under Armour, UA Running, Honey Stinger, New York Road Runners (NYRR), runcoach.com, FlipBelt, Body Glide, Kinesio Tape, Feetures, BOCO Gear, Oakley, goodr, Strava and Hyperice.

This one took a village, and I’m looking forward to whatever the next race is. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to not having to train for a little while.

Here’s to a job well done and more races down the road! 🥃

3/4 TCS New York City Marathon recap!

At long last - months of training and over a year of waiting, it was time to hear the gun, cross the start and set off on the course!

I was warned that the course is deceptively fast and that couldn’t be more accurate. I knew I’d go out fast but, even after scaling back a bit, I was still headed out above pace.

The race was incredible. Each of the five boroughs had a distinct flavor. The city came out in full force.

The entire course was filled with love, support and more positive energy and can-do attitude than I could’ve imagined. Truly an opportunity to see NYC at its best.

The race flew by through the half and it wasn’t until miles 18-21 that my going out too fast caught up with me. Thankfully, I was able to scale back a bit and focus on reasonable consistency to complete the race.

I was thrilled to smash a new PR of 4:10:42 (even if I didn’t hit my bonus goal of going sub 4:00:00, which I now know is possible with better race planning and a bit more training).

My Under Armour UA Running gear (singlet, compression trunks, running shorts and shoes) worked like a charm. The new Velociti Elite racing shoes were the perfect hybrid of the snappiness of the Pebax plate that I’ve come to expect from the and the lightweight and smooth step through of the ’s that I’ve been training and racing in prior. This shoe will be turning some heads and I can’t thank UA enough for letting me gain access to these ahead of their global public release in 2023.

Honey Stinger came in clutch during the race - my Chews were the perfect way to maintain my energy levels and helped bring me out of some fatigue troughs toward the end.

I can’t speak highly enough about Honey Stinger. Their products are fantastic and the company has an excellent culture of positivity and support, whether a pro athlete, a competitive amateur or a weekend warrior. I can’t thank them enough for getting behind me and sponsoring my entry.

Additional thanks to Body Glide, Feetures and FlipBelt for making great products that were integral to my race.

2/4 TCS New York City Marathon recap!

Race day started early (made even earlier by the redeye the previous day and the minor amount of sleep the night before).

3:30am wake to prep, fuel and transit to NYPL The New York Public Library for my 5am bus.

Like everything about race day, things were absolutely electric. It was astonishing to see just how many people were not only at the bus pickup at 5 but bright eyed and bushy tailed. Buses flew in and out with the most precision and quickest loading and departing I’ve seen anywhere.

The ride to race villages in Staten Island was filled with positivity and people amped up for the day. Upon arrival, we were greeted with an incredible sunrise over the start line on the Verrazano Bridge.

There was plenty of time to get in some additional pre-race carbs (NYC Bagel, anyone) and the good folks Dunkin' and Gatorade made sure we all stayed hydrated.

While it was tough to prioritize rest, there were a few cat naps and some quality therapy dog cuddles (yes you read that right).

After several laps of the village, lots of stretching, plyometrics and some delicious pre-race Honey Stinger waffles (vanilla is still my go-to favorite) it was finally time to head to the start line.

I felt especially ready to go fast and crush a race thanks to the always amazing team Under Armour who very kindly allowed me to get my hands on a pair of their brand new UA Running racing shoes months before their public release. Keep your eyes peeled for them to hit store shelves sometime in 2023 - these were an absolute joy to race in and I’m looking forward to more PR’s in them.
