Hip Hues is an interactive swag bar. Guests at events get to choose their swag and print it themselves with help from us of course. We are getting busier than ever and looking to add part time team members. We have events at various times during the day/night Monday through Friday and on weekends. Check out our website and feel free to ask me any questions.

We are looking for personable, well spoken, and outgoing individuals who are willing to interact with people of all ages and explain screen printing/guide them through this process.

Seeking presentable, professional applicants.

- Must be reliable and on time for every event.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time


• Event types vary (e.g. indoors, outdoors, conferences, camps, workshops, weddings, etc.).

All work is hourly and as needed for events. Positions as an Event Staff member of Hip hues include Greeter, Line Director, Printer, Dryer. This is a contractor flexible position. We will send you a request asking if you are available and if you are you will be scheduled.

Starting rate: $13.50/hour and once you are through training 3-8 events you will be raised to $15/hr. If you are looking for something more, you can become a team lead and make even more per hour.

When the creatives get even more creative. Happy Fat Tuesday! 💜💛💚

With Mardi Gras just around the corner, New Orleans’ time-honored parades have been canceled due to coronavirus concerns. But residents of the Big Easy are still finding creative ways to celebrate within the social distancing restrictions. Many are getting into the spirit by decorating the exteriors of their homes and businesses, turning them into fixed “floats.”

One “house float” was decorated in honor of Pete Fountain, a celebrated jazz clarinetist and New Orleans native. Another home shows the late, famous chef Leah Chase stirring a giant pot on the second floor. One house, called “Acadiana Hay Ride,” pays homage to Boozoo Chavis, Clifton Chenier and D.L. Menard, the pioneers of zydeco music. And another took a pre-historic route to celebrate “Dino Gras,” displaying a massive, decked-out dinosaur sporting Mardi Gras beads and top hat for a dapper touch. (via CANVAS public media arts)
