Facilitators of Human Potential
The Fort Houston Artisan Support Project is a 501c3 organization that provides people of all ages and backgrounds with the opportunity to discover their creative potential. Through scholarships, classes, gallery exhibitions and our thriving maker network, we are a hyper-local small business incubator, providing resources otherwise unavailable to our members and community. Together with our partners and patrons, The Fort Houston Artisan Support Project is uniquely able to encourage economic growth for Nashville and its many creatives.

We are pleased to share the first of several tree sculptures as part of our Nashville Tree Project, an outdoor public art campaign to raise awareness about emerald ash borer and its devastating impacts on our native ash trees. This amazing work by Anthony Heinz May (Oregon) was completed today in Centennial Park. Several more sculptures are scheduled for installation in parks across the city over the next 6 months. Many thanks to Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation for partnering with us on this exciting project, and to Chicago Sculpture International and Metro Arts: Nashville Office of Arts for providing essential guidance and expertise, and to our new friends at The Forge Nashville for allowing our visiting artists to utilize their space. We hope you will visit and enjoy all of the sculptures as they are installed, spread the word about emerald ash borer, and continue to help us plant and preserve Nashville's trees.

The exhibit will run until October 27th, so please stop by the auditorium at any time to view it.
