I started this piece a year ago, and I’m finally closing in on it! I often find the very end of a painting the hardest. I struggle to know when to stop, and when to do just a bit more. I have abandoned many pieces because of this, but this one… I’m determined to finish!

My Madonna of the Birkin painting in her new home—impeccably designed by my very talented mom . I often hear remarks about how incredible it must be to have been raised in an artistic household. My mom’s talent has certainly shaped me and my siblings!

P.S. who else forgot about and needed to be reminded of this song?

Had such an incredible time painting in Cuckmere Haven with ! We sheltered under blackberry brambles for a couple of hours until the rain passed.

When the clouds finally parted, the whole landscape transformed. It was tough to paint with the ever-changing light!

I plan to go back one final time before leaving England. The Seven Sisters is one of the most magnificent places on earth!

(PS - this song was playing as the cows marched across the field single file to shelter from the storm. It was perfect!)

Finally got this piece back from the framers! As much as I’d love to see it go to a good home, I have to admit—it looks really good in mine.

A trip that was all too quick! Stopped in the , walked the Dean Village river path, admired St. Giles Cathedral and , and hiked Arthur’s seat. What a cool place!
