Part 2 of “Sound Authenticity” ..

Yesterday was a photo of the strats used, today we have the Soldano SLO30 Combo. EC used Soldano amplifiers from late 88-89 into the mid 90’s. This sound is my favorite and most versatile for me covering 50 years of music. I have and used the Fender Custom Shop Tweed reissues, but they have to be cranked up in order to achieve the tone and quite honestly, they can get too loud for many venues. The SLO30 with the master volume, keeps the tone integrity and I can adjust volume and gain as needed.
Plus it just looks awesome too!

String changes and tuning today.. Gearing up for upcoming rehearsals and shows.. Stay tuned… no pun intended.

Main stage Strat will be the pewter EC on left w/ Versace style strap, into the Soldano SLO30. Emulating and recreating the 24 nights sound and look.

We welcome Mike Pace to the Experience Clapton family and team.. Mike lives here in SWFL and will be providing bass on occasion with the band. We had a great rehearsal today and look forward to playing together.

New edition for smaller venues or shows in the NY area.. Sound is similar to the SLO-30 but still gets me close to the 24 nights era sound, which is my favorite. More to come… Chris

“Got to Get Better in a Little While” Rehearsal 6/5/26
Here is another snippet of the improv solo’s we bring to EC Live! I’m trying to hone in on Clapton’s early 70’s playing style and sound here, particularly from Derek & the Dominos live at the Fillmore. This album was and still is a huge influence on me.. In more recent years, when EC plays this song, he incorporates both bass and drum solos, so we are bringing that musicianship/experience live as well.
