Hi, friends! 🌿
I wanted to apologize for being absent from the markets lately. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who's very sensitive to wildfire smoke, and spending too much time outdoors in it triggers severe migraines. As much as I love seeing everyone each week, I have to put my health first until the air quality improves.
I truly miss all of you, the conversations, and sharing plants with this amazing community. I'm hoping the smoke clears soon so I can get back to doing what I love!
In the meantime, don't forget to take care of your plant babies too! While a little smoke isn't usually harmful, prolonged exposure can affect them:
🌱 Smoke particles can settle on leaves, making it harder for plants to absorb sunlight.
💧 Ash can clog leaf pores and reduce photosynthesis.
🪴 Outdoor plants may benefit from a gentle rinse once the smoke clears to remove residue.
☀️ If possible, avoid moving indoor plants outside while the air quality is poor.
💦 Keep up with normal watering, but don't over water. Smoky conditions can still be dehydrating for some plants.
Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support. I can't wait to be back at the markets as soon as it's safe to do so. Until then, stay safe, take care of yourselves, and give your plants a little extra love from me! 💚
