They have coracles in Carmarthen but when Emma goes around in circles it is in the veladrome for gold medals.

Emma Finucane has made Welsh sporting history!

The Carmarthen cycling star has become the first Welsh woman to win three gold medals at a single Commonwealth Games.

The 23-year-old claimed gold in the team sprint, the individual sprint, and the 1,000m time trial.

Steve Carrigg's great talk and demo of coracles on the beach at Milwaukie Bay Park was followed by some individual lessons for audience volunteers who proved Milwaukie is a truly riverfront community of daring sailors.

Many thanks to Little-Float Milwaukie, Downtown Association of Milwaukie, Milwaukie Parks, staff and volunteers, and community partners for organizing a fantastic event today which included the Welsh Society of Oregon presentation of Steve Carrigg's talk and demo of coracle boats at Milwaukie Bay Park. Some great photos were taken and will be posted here but we got off to rock'n start with event DJ and Milwaukie's B-Side Records who kindly played our request for the late Bonnie Tyler song accompanied by our own Andrea Wild with our dragon floatie! https://bsiderecordsvintage.com
