Looks like we are still rocking the same ol spot we’ve been in! The last dash for anything is this Friday! Can’t be more proud and thankful on how far we’ve came this year with the car! Can’t wait for next year to bring us new and different/interesting battles!

FWD Points Standings

Congrats to Matthew Elsey, Jr. for clinching the O'Reilly Auto Parts FWD Championship. James McDonald is leading the Spartan Insulation & Coating Company FWD B Dvision with Steve Thompson having an outside chance to over take his spot. Dayton Brady has the Joe Shmoe's Bar & Grill FWD C division on cruise control would need some really bad luck not to lock it down. Championship Night is the Friday at the Kalamazoo Speedway.

🏁 76th SET OF CHAMPIONS TO BE CROWNED! 🏆

The Kalamazoo Speedway will crown its 76th set of Champions this Friday, August 28th, during Season Championship Night!

The points battles are coming down to the final night, and only one driver in each division will leave the Zoo as a 2026 Champion!

With a total of 2 left on our schedule, this is a recap of the start to now for the year! So grateful for where we started to where we are now! Can’t believe we are already a season in now. By far the best sport I’ve been able to take part in! Thank you to everyone for the amazing year that has helped on the car. It was the way for me to shove my foot into a closed door and get some stuff done. Been a long dream coming true, one I never even imagined I’d be able to be a part of. Thank you to everyone that has also sat and been so supportive of the ups and many many downs. From words of encouragement to pointers on the car. All of it has sat with me through the year and will continue to sit in my arsenal of tools! I also wanna give a special thank you to my grandfather Les Skinner. At the beginning of the year he got news not most wouldn’t like to sit with. Cancer is a b**¢ħ but the memories and all the help he decided to give through the season won’t go forgotten. I know it’s not easy for a man that’s dying to continue to wrench on a car with his grandson so thanks old man 😂💜! We made a lot of memories and figured out a lot of this on our own like we usually do but we got it done! Let’s go out with a bang (without smashing the car up) and make next season even better!

Barn update (because who gets a break when it comes to racing?)

Coolant system flushed ✅

Car Running ❌

Loaded up yesterday for fast Fridays at the zoo to a car that wouldn’t start. Joke about it all is, the car ran and started fine before any of the cooling system got done. Ran some test and tried to fix it before green flags with no luck of even leaving the barn. Figured out a starting point (no pun intended) after standing around with a look on my face that was probably the same of seeing a squirrel trying to mate with a dog. Straight confusion. Now we know what needs to be next on the list and we’ll go from there and hope for the best!

It’s been a while since we’ve hit the track! Had to tear apart the front end in our short break and throw a new radiator at the hot rod. Did some Air conditioning delete to get rid of the unwanted junk and save some weight! Been a slow process to the year but it’s been a very productive one to say the least!
