You will get to hear some truly wonderful percussionists play with some of the best horn players our school has to offer! Come take a break from studying for finals and cramming last minute assignments and enjoy some salsa music with us! We hope to see you there!

It’s been a great past week for MTSU Percussion! We had:
- a great clinic with Dr. Norm Weinberg!
- a great concert with the MTSU Steel Pan Bands, MTSU Salsa, and Lalo Davila and Friends!
- a fabulous night of music from our Percussion Ensembles!
- a student-run recital consisting of the music of Eric Sammut!
- the 59th annual Contest of Champions, and some great performances (and costumes) from our Drumline and Front Ensemble!
- a number of great performances from our percussionists in masterclasses and General Recital!
It’s been so much fun, and we’re so excited to see we’re not done yet! Come out November 16th to see our Steel Pan Ensembles in Concert, and on November 29th to see the MTSU Salsa Band play!
We’re also headed to PASIC this Wednesday! Will we see you there?

We’ve got some exciting events coming up that you will NOT want to miss!
On Sunday at 8:00 pm, come hear the studio perform the works of Eric Sammut, world-famous marimba artist and composer!
On Monday at 7:30 pm, come hear our very own Lalo Davila’s professional Salsa Band, Lalo Davila and Friends! We are very fortunate and excited for this concert, and you will also get to hear the MTSU Salsa Band play some tunes as well as the MTSU Steel Pan Bands!
On Wednesday at 8:00, enjoy our Percussion Ensembles in concert! Our percussion ensembles have put in a huge amount of work this semester and we would love to have you come hear them show it off!
These events will be also available to watch through livestream on the MTSU School of Music YouTube channel!

Hello!! We visited campus and were blessed to sit in on the master class! loved it! A couple of guys were talking to us about their summer plans with drum corp in the area. We are visiting June 3 & 4 and didn't know if we could sit in on a practice somewhere, or get Tanner to visit with anyone, that would be awesome!!

The Huntland Marching Band (Middle TN) is searching for a percussionist to teach our pit section for our band camp July 9-12, 16-19 from 8am-4:30pm every day. This would be a great opportunity for a future music educator or percussionist to get some experience in a non-pressured environment and make some money before the summer ends. It’s a very small program. I also have a place for you to stay for the 2 weeks. If interested or have more questions please send me a message or email [email protected].
