-When the phone started blowing up in early April about the blue pig Austin Thompson had at the Holy Smoke Sale, we knew we needed to take a serious look! Thanks to your good buddies JD & Grant for making us aware and working with us to bring him back to Indiana!
-For as impressive as this pig was on the videos and sale previews, once he arrived here, we were absolutely blown away with just how good we felt this one was!
-Jump ahead to now, and he is one that has everybody talking when we roll him out across the yard!
-His mesmerizing blue color pattern attracts you immediately, but to study the quality he has is even more impressive!
-The aura this one gives off in terms of how he puts together look, bone, and soundness is incredible!
-Huge feet, massive legs, and strong pasterns hit the surface securely while the extra length to his step off both ends is soothing!
-The squareness that he comes at you with and leaves with the same way is about as good as you could ever get!
-Sharp headed yet stout about his skull, with excellent height and elevation ahead of his blade!
-Absolutely love the muscle shape and mass this one lays on his skeleton!
-The kind we’d all love to mass produce and a barn full of on feed!
-His lineage is as loaded as his phenotype with the extended pedigree reading Ragweed X Top Shelf X Back On Top X Bear 76 X Best Man X Historic!
-Lots of good stuff to be found here, as Back On Top sow came from Dakota Reiss and is the only gilt he’s let leave out of the influential Bear 76!
-That Bear 76 sow is mom of the Reserve Grand Barrow @ Houston 2022 and is a littermate to the Reserve Grand @ Colorado State Fair in 2019! She would also
be the grand dam to Hege’s Grand Overall Gilt @ Indy 2023!
