lley Open Studios is unlike any other art event. Here's your chance to get to know the artists in the intimate setting of their own studios. Talk about their work and ask questions about their technique. You can see a larger body of work than anywhere else. Each artists can show their entire collection. Each artist is free to show whatever they do best, there's no jury or hanging committee. You be the jury of what's good, not someone else. Discover some hidden artistic talent. Silicon Valley Open Studios is an incubator for young and emerging artists. Every year there are many showing for the first time. Just show up at any open site you wish to visit. Before you go, preview the participating artists on this web site or by browsing the printed Silicon Valley Open Studios Artists Directory. Select the artists that you wish to see and note the weekends that they are open. No need to call ahead - just go and enjoy some wonderful art. Silicon Valley Open Studios is a non-juried event so it is more inclusive than many other public art events. Rather than have a committee judge what your see, you be the judge of what you like. Being non-juried, this event attracts many emerging and first-time artists who have recently moved into this area and chose Silicon Valley Open Studios as their first exposure to the buying public. In fact, this is why many of Silicon Valley's finest gallery owners and museum curators tour the event incognito searching for exciting new artistic talent.
