"If adults and kids are co-equals in casts, then the kids will flourish." This is one of the cornerstones of the Theater Arts Guild philosophy. Learn more about how Theater Arts Guild serves the community of Skagit County and a little about how it all started over 25 years ago.

Listen to Bruce Vilders and Harold Page being interviewed back in 2017 on Skagit Talks radio about TAG's history, philosophy and how it serves our community.

A message from Theater Arts Guild:

Out of concern for the safety of our cast, volunteers and audiences during the COVID-19 outbreak, TAG will be cancelling its run of The Music Man at the Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon, WA originally scheduled for March 20 - April 5, 2020.

We don’t know everything about the pandemic, but we have more than enough information to know that public gatherings like theatrical performances currently pose a serious threat to public safety. We will postpone upcoming productions until such time as medical experts have determined performances to be safe again.

For almost 30 years, TAG has provided theater arts opportunities to Skagit County and beyond thanks to the support of our local communities. It will always be the safety of our audiences, cast, volunteers, and community as a whole that comes first. We often talk about the TAG experience as the “TAG family”, and that family is you and us, together.

For the Music Man cast and volunteers that have been rehearsing for many months, this is a heart-breaking announcement to read. It would mean a lot to them if you could send a little love and appreciation their way. We are so thankful for their time and commitment to this production.

If you purchased a ticket to The Music Man you will be offered:

- A full refund
- Credit towards a future TAG show
- Credit towards a Tax-Deductible Donation to TAG

The Lincoln box office will be reaching out to you via email for processing, or you may call the Lincoln Theatre at (360) 336-8955 during regular business hours.

TAG looks forward to the future when we have come together as statewide, national, and global communities to minimize the impact of this pandemic and can once again come together in celebration and performance of theater arts.

Come Join the Band! Theater Arts Guild presents Meredith Willson's The Music Man at the Lincoln Theatre March 20 - April 5, 2020.

He’s so charming and charismatic—no wonder con man Harold Hill assumes he can so easily fleece the citizens of staid River City, Iowa with the grand promise of a marching band. But the smooth-talking swindler can’t tell a trombone from a treble clef—and Marian, the local librarian, knows it. In his attempt to steal her heart (and save his hide), Harold learns a thing or two about moral responsibility—and unexpectedly enriches the town with a love of music. Theater Arts Guild brings to Skagit Valley one of Broadway’s most beloved musical comedies. Come join the band and get your tickets today!

As a former Actor and constant Lover of the Arts and volunteer, I am writing to the Board of Directors of TAG to please reschedule "The Music Man." The actors, musicians, craftspeople, hair, costumers, and stoic volunteers put their heart and soul into these shows. Even though TAG had no choice in stopping this production due to COVID lockdown, they DO have a choice in rescheduling this show at a later date in the year. Please allow these awesome people their chance to lighten the spirits of a weary town - when it's safe to do so of course - and find a time in the calendar. Thank you from everyone and anyone who has enjoyed being in a production or watched from the seats. THANK YOU!!! PLEASE RESCHEDULE "THE MUSIC MAN!!!"🎭🎼🎺
My friends and I just watched this at the McIntyre Theatre at Skagit CC. WOW!! OUTSTANDING performance!! The singing was unbelievable! These folks should be on Broadway, what talented voices and dancers and actors and everything of this was pure joy. Friends and I hadn't laughed this good in eons. Costumes were a hoot. All the cast put their ALL into their performance and were natural in having a good time. Bravo, standing ovation to all!!
