The 2nd Annual Middle-earth March Through Mount Vernon has come and gone, and what an extraordinary day it was! 🌳✨

Thank you to the Mount Vernon Downtown Merchants and all of our incredible partners who helped bring this celebration of National Hobbit Day to life.

A very special thank you to our host stores, Old Mr. Bailiwick's and Paragraphs Bookstore, for helping make the day possible.

And, of course, thank you to the Mount Vernon community for embracing the event, welcoming visitors to our lovely downtown, and joining us for a day filled with friendship, adventure, and a little bit of Hobbit cheer.

Until next time, Hobbits! 🌿🍻

Our Mount Vernon Downtown Merchants have donated some incredible items for our various raffle baskets and prizes! Get a sneak peek at many (but not all!) of the items you could have a chance to win!

- 🎭 Costume Contest (2pm at Happy Street Brü Werks):
We will recognize a first place, second place, and third place costume contest winner with prizes for each, donated by our Downtown Mount Vernon Merchants.

- 🗺 Hunt for Gollum Raffle & 🗡 Side Quest Raffle (Mon., Sept. 21st):
There will be several raffles held on Monday, September 21st for winners of The Hunt For Gollum Passport Completion, and several winners for completion of the Side Quest portion of the passport.

Things of note:
1. Photos do not depict the exact makeup of each prize basket.
2. Not all items are on display in these photos. There are plenty of gift cards and other items that didn't make it into the photo from our various merchants and organizations.
3. Drop off your completed passport at any participating business before the end of the day to be entered into the raffle. We will collect all passports and draw winners on Monday.

And finally:

Hunt for Gollum 🗺 - Anyone who sets out to complete The Hunt for Gollum scavenger hunt and be entered into the raffle will have plenty of time to do so!

Side Quests 🗡 - Not all who set out to complete the Side Quests will be able to do so. These are tricky, more involved activities that (in most cases) offer three tries to complete or succeed. For your passport to be eligible to win a Side Quest raffle basket, all nine Side Quests must be successfully completed.

See you all tomorrow! 🌳
