Finally got some pictures with this beautiful girl. We took about an hour in the nasty weather yesterday and turned out with some amazing pictures! Head shots and single photos are so valuable for profile pictures and things jobs will see across your pages! It’s such a good way to introduce yourself online!

My first senior session. This is Jaxon. His parents allowed me to take some more photos for them to have as he wraps up his senior year. I’m so happy to add this shoot to my experience and so thankful for the opportunity!

I thought it would be hard to pose a male model but he was a complete natural. They were so open to any ideas I had and let me take my time to play with settings. I definitely learned to double check my battery is charged before a shoot. I was a little nervous but it lasted and it all worked out.

We started inside at 6pm and got our first couple shots then we moved outside. It was pretty cloudy so some shots towards the end were dark but with editing I was able to lighten them up a bit.

We shot 400 photos and they ended up getting 50 of them back. Yes edited and sent back same night… lol. From my first session to this one I have definitely learned the importance of lighting. The golden hour meaning and the best time being not early and not too late. There’s definitely a sweet spot.

I’m so excited and eager to get back out for my next session. Anybody thinking about it please schedule in the link in my bio.

Here we go…

You guys are coming along with me on this journey. I wanna share and be open to all the advice. All these photos will be on my website but it’s nice to have them here as well.
As you know my name is Kaya. I recently decided to give this whole thing a go. I bought a camera and here we are. I am shooting on a Nikon d3300. I have been doing this for two weeks now so trust me I’m starting from scratch.

This was my first ever photo shoot. My first time being behind the camera and the first time editing photos.

She is absolutely stunning and a total natural, which made this shoot so much easier.

We did this shoot from 6-7:30pm at the brown family environmental center in Mount Vernon.
I edited these and got them back to her the same day. We shot 400+ photos and she got back 90 of them.

I am so happy with these photos. There are some that were a little blurry but I still liked them so I kept them anyways 🤣

What matters is that we had fun and I learned about my camera and different shooting angles.

I have finally decided to take a little leap into something I’ve wanted to do for a long while now. I’m what most would probably consider a baby photographer. I am just starting out and I am taking my time to get used to being behind the camera and learning some of the settings and shooting styles of photography. I will be taking this summer to learn and build a decent sized portfolio. As I take pictures it will help to see, from the beginning, the growth and change in finding my own style. I’m so excited to always offer the best I can and little by little get better and better. I have my link for scheduling posted in my bio.
