September 9th, it’s been more than a month since we finished our mural, and I still haven’t reported on it. I’m sorry🙏🏻

I want to organize a mini‑celebration for the participants and the city residents at the moment the ribbon is cut. I’ve been waiting, I wanted to announce the date right away, but it’s not working out yet.
Keep an eye on the news — I hope we’ll announce it soon.
Thank you all again for your participation❤️

We are almost done with the Mount Union mural, and we could use a hand with the last piece of it. ❤️

There was a misunderstanding about the protective coating we thought Lowe's was going to donate. We were expecting ten gallons and ended up with two pints, so we ordered the coating ourselves and paid for it out of pocket. It came to about $700. We really want the mural properly protected so it stays beautiful for our town for many years.

If anyone would like to help us cover a little bit of that, we would truly appreciate it. Even a few dollars helps, and there is absolutely no pressure.

There are two easy ways to give, depending on what you would like to do.

To donate to the project, make your check out to the Center for Community Action and write "mural" in the memo line. You can drop it off or mail it to:

Center for Community Action
Huntingdon Office
510 Washington St
Huntingdon, PA 16652

Or give directly to me:

Regina Reeder
17 West Chestnut St
Mount Union, PA 17066

I am incredibly thankful for everyone who has helped make this mural possible. This really has been a community project from beginning to end.

Thank you, Mount Union! ❤️

I have a small request — please check the list and make sure your name is included and spelled correctly. ❤️

If I accidentally missed anyone who helped with the mural, please let me know so I can add you!

Also, does anyone know the name of the boy pictured in this post? He helped us paint too, but I can’t find his name. I want to make sure he is included on the list as well.

I really want to make sure everyone who was part of this project is recognized. ❤️ Thank you!

I want to share some wonderful news! 👏🏻 Today, Lowe’s called us and told us they’re donating the anti-graffiti coating for our mural! I’m absolutely thrilled because the timing couldn’t be more perfect — we’re almost finished. 🙏🏻 God willing, we’ll be celebrating very soon! 👏🏻👏🏻
Can you believe?❤️🥲🥹

So many people wanted to paint this little blue house. 💙 In the end, it became hers Kelsey Jensen, along with the American flag beside it.
Blue is her favorite color, and since she served in the Navy, it felt like the perfect match. She spent more than seven hours working on these details today, and she did an amazing job.
Thank you so much for your hard work, your time, and for being part of this mural. I truly appreciate it!
