Welcome Equinox Worsted by Magpie Fibers!

We love Magpie Equinox Sport so much we had to bring in Equinox Worsted! Equinox Worsted is made of 65% silk with 35% linen. The silk-linen blend creates a yarn with shine and strength, as well as incredible stitch definition and next-to-skin softness. The colors are iridescent and irresistible, perfect for summer tees, drapey shawls and lightweight sweaters. This yarn is made to last, and projects made with this yarn will be worn for years to come.

We have a great class line up for May at Sugar River Yarns!

Learn new techniques and have fun with these classes at SRY. You can learn to crochet potholders, scrubbies make a wet felted vessel, make a colorwork cozy, or crochet a dog or cat plush!

Our beginner core classes (learn to crochet, learn to knit, continue to crochet, continue to knit) are a great opportunity to learn your foundational skills.

Fun Spring Classes! We have added Wet Felted Vessels, Fixing Mistakes, and Bumpy Bandana Assigned Pooling to our class schedule, all taught by Melissa ! Swipe to see more details for the individual classes. Our classes are an excellent opportunity to learn something new while being guided by an expert. Sugar River Yarns will be participating in the Knit For Food Knit-a-thon on April 11th and we invite you to join us! Knit for Food Knit-a-thon is a 12 hour knitting marathon to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity. The shop will be open from 8:00 to 8:00 on Saturday April 11th for people to gather and knit. We will post more details about the event soon!

To participate you can make a donation at www.knitforfood.com and join our team by entering “Sugar River Yarns” in the “team or team member” box when you donate. When you donate, we will match your donation with SRY rewards points at the store. We hope that you will join us to help make a difference in our communities!

This pattern is the Mae Scarf by Ysolda Teague () knit with Jill Draper Makes Stuff’s () High Plains in Emerald!

This scarf is cleverly constructed and knit in the round, creating a warm and reversible double layered piece (with no purling necessary 😄). Jill Draper’s yarns are made domestically from sheep to skien, and this 100% superfine merino is the perfect choice for this scarf!
