Sharing some of my favorite creations from the summer, along with the news that I will be hitting pause on taking new orders for the next few months as I settle in to a new day job and semester of graduate classes.

My philosophy in taking orders was always “say yes and then figure it out” but I also don’t want to do anything that I don’t feel confident I can put my full effort and attention into, so I’m taking a break on saying yes to cakes so I can give my job and my family the effort and attention they deserve.

I’ll post an update when I’m ready to bake for you again!

Maybe it wasn’t the most prudent choice to commit to making and delivering a wedding cake on the day I was leaving for vacation, but I couldn’t say no to the chance to make this elegant design for a lovely bride.

This is a cake that I didn’t post when I made it and just recently scrolled upon it and had an interesting reaction of 1) “wow, I made that?” And 2) “yikes, would I be able to recreate that if someone asked?”

I’m just going to go with being proud of it and if I need to do it again, I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Croissant making with was the perfect way to finish our time in Paris. Can’t wait to take the kids to a class in their NYC location.
Our instructor even gave me a step stool so I could roll to the end of my dough! He said luckily they have them handy for the children’s classes 😅

So many beautiful baked goods on this trip!
